I was raised on a small dairy farm in Chapel Hill, Tennessee. I attended the University of Tennessee where I earned a BS in Agriculture in 1998 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2002. I began working as an associate veterinarian at Lewisburg Animal Hospital in 2004, and in 2009, I purchased the practice.
I enjoy really getting to know not only our patients, but the families who bring them to us. I have so many clients who I practically consider family! I love the variety and entertainment a career in veterinary medicine provides and wouldn’t trade it for the world!
I met my husband, Doug, when I was a freshman at U.T., and we were married in 1998. We have two sons, Gavin and Cohen. Our family also includes Phil, the one-eyed yellow Labrador Retriever, Tracy the bossy beagle, and Trigger and Blaster the resident mouser kitties, and Fred the Fancy Rat.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and attending swim meets, travel baseball tournaments, and soccer games with our very active sons. We love to travel when we get the chance. In addition, I am proud member of the Lewisburg Rotary Club and enjoy serving our community and world through our many service projects.
